Cameroon for Christ: An Evening of Storytelling with Efi Tembon

Since September 2017 Christ-followers throughout the entire Birmingham region have been focused collectively on the completion of the Great Commission by taking the Gospel to the 63 Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs) in the countries of West Africa. Funds have now been raised and African church planters have been deployed since February to reach all 63 UUPGs. The country of Cameroon is home to 10 of the 63 West African UUPGs.

Efi Tembon is a Cameroonian with an insatiable passion for church planting, Bible translation, literacy and community development. As General Director of the Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy (CABTAL), he has led his ministry's involvement in Bible translation and development in 68 languages and the planting of numerous churches throughout Cameroon. CABTAL engages with the national church and empowers local communities to lead their own projects. You will be fascinated by the stories Efi tells about his life, his country and his ministry.

One of the ways CABTAL gets the Word of God to the unreached in Cameroon is through solar-powered electronic devices that play the Word of God that have been recorded on SD cards (a type of memory card typically used in digital cameras and other portable devices) called "Soundboxes."

Come join us for a night of storytelling with Efi Tembon. It's a night you won't want to miss!

A strategic plan serves as a roadmap and as a tool for assessing progress. What is most important is that strategic planning be done and that the framework or plan reflects a shared board and staff vision of the organization’s role, values, and priorities.

At the beginning of this new year, develop the skills to lead your nonprofit through a strategic planning process from one of Birmingham's best business coaches, Harris Wheeler.

Issachar Summit
Sep
21
8:00 AM08:00

Issachar Summit

What

A day-long exposure to the latest thinking in world evangelization, led by business leaders and ministry pioneers.

Purpose

To accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission by clarifying where resources are most needed.

Who

Sponsored by the Issachar Initiative (www.issacharinitiative.org), a think-tank of missions strategists and Kingdom investors.

Format

Discussion around tables, short but engaging presentations, i.e., the TED conference.

Objective

Inform and challenge every Kingdom donor, church and organization to get more manpower and money to the places where the Church is NOT.

Clarification

This is not a fundraising event. Issachar raises no funds for itself or any specific organization. It advocates on behalf of the unfinished areas of the Great Commission. Attendees will be invited to mobilize more of God’s resources (human and financial) for catalytic Great Commission projects at a later date.

Who Should Attend

The Summit will feature strategic ministry leaders and Kingdom investors. The event will serve Christian leaders from the marketplace, the professions and the ministry, who will be challenged to innovate and collaborate in new, extraordinary ways as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission in our generation.
