Since September 2017 Christ-followers throughout the entire Birmingham region have been focused collectively on the completion of the Great Commission by taking the Gospel to the 63 Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs) in the countries of West Africa. Funds have now been raised and African church planters have been deployed since February to reach all 63 UUPGs. The country of Cameroon is home to 10 of the 63 West African UUPGs.
Efi Tembon is a Cameroonian with an insatiable passion for church planting, Bible translation, literacy and community development. As General Director of the Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy (CABTAL), he has led his ministry's involvement in Bible translation and development in 68 languages and the planting of numerous churches throughout Cameroon. CABTAL engages with the national church and empowers local communities to lead their own projects. You will be fascinated by the stories Efi tells about his life, his country and his ministry.
One of the ways CABTAL gets the Word of God to the unreached in Cameroon is through solar-powered electronic devices that play the Word of God that have been recorded on SD cards (a type of memory card typically used in digital cameras and other portable devices) called "Soundboxes."
Come join us for a night of storytelling with Efi Tembon. It's a night you won't want to miss!
